their procurement work processes, to better accelerate the deployment of

their procurement solution globally.

The Problem

Across the globe, different work processes were used to procure goods and services.  For a global procurement software platform to perform efficiently and effectively, standard processes need to be in place.

By analyzing and documenting the existing work processes and comparing them to best-in-class methods, personal experience, and work with clients in similar industries, process improvements were developed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the client’s procurement process.

  • Eliminating half of the existing buying channels, which dramatically simplified the user experience and drove out use of less compliant, higher risk procurement methods

  • Expanding electronic catalog content, which further guided users to preferred suppliers, helping to improve user satisfaction, savings, and compliance 

  • Tactical buying processes were created as a mid-value intervention.

  • Robust continuous improvement processes helped to check usage of purchasing solutions and drive the development and execution of corrective actions
